The Faces of Syracuse would like to take a moment on this #GivingTuesday to look back on some of the non-for-profits we have highlighted over the years. These organizations have given so much to our local community. Catholic Charities of Onondaga County
Catholic Charities of Onondaga County helps people in need regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity, or nationality. They assist nearly 19,000 people annually through programs for people of all ages and stages of life. Your donation helps individuals and families in crisis get immediate assistance and supports them into programs that put them on a path to stability and build their capacity to lead successful lives.
CNY SPCA (CNY Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)
CNY SPCA provides many services for the animals in our local area, including adoption, education, and investigation into animal cruelty. Donations from the community, monetary or supplies, helps make this all possible.
David’s Refuge
David’s Refuge cares for the caregiver. Stronger caregivers lead to stronger families and stronger families lead to a stronger community.
Emmaus Ministry
Emmaus Ministry is a volunteer outreach ministry rooted in the teachings of the Catholic Church serving the poor and homeless in Syracuse. Donations will go towards critical services such as: meal service and distribution, mobile meals, food pantry bags, showers, haircuts, bus passes, and our children’s and family programs.
McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center
At McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center there are many ways to get involved and support the mission of the McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center. Whether you donate, volunteer, or become a sponsor, each contribution has a direct impact on the Onondaga County community.
Redhouse Arts Center
Redhouse Arts Center is a professional, not-for-profit theater serving the community by providing leading and inclusive experiences through its theater and educational programs.
The Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation
The Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation strives to enrich the lives of kids in need within our community and provides support for eliminating cancer through research and advocacy. Donations will help the Foundation provide safe, well-lit courts for children in our community to play basketball, support cancer research and advocacy, and support grant requests that focus on children and cancer.
The MOST (Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology)
The MOST is a hands-on science and technology museum for people of all ages. There are many different avenues to show your support for the Museum; sponsor an exhibit, education program or event; volunteer your time; get involved with your company or co-workers; join us for an event; or make a gift from your estate.
We Rise Above The Streets Recovery Outreach, Inc.
We Rise Above The Streets Recovery Outreach, Inc. provides help for the homeless, underrepresented and any one in need of food, clothing or any resources they can provide. Donations from the local community can make a big difference in the lives of the people they serve.
