Lacey Leonardi, Traffic Anchor/Reporter for Spectrum News of CNY for over 16 years, sat down with us to talk about her experiences working in the media and serving the community. Lacey moved to Syracuse in 2003. Being from the south she mentions how she had some preconceived notions about moving to the area. She talks about how southerners pride themselves on hospitality and general warmness, and when she moved here 16 years ago, she felt she received that same welcome from the Syracuse community, and that still hasn’t changed.
In addition to being active in her church, Lacey enjoys volunteering at Gigi’s Playhouse Syracuse, a Down Syndrome Achievement Center providing free therapeutic, educational and career training programs.
